What Data We Collect

Short answer: We collect zero personal data.

Nur Radio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We have no servers that store user data, no analytics platforms, and no tracking mechanisms.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored on your device:

• Favorite Stations: Your saved radio station preferences
• Custom Playlists: Playlists you create with your favorite reciters
• App Settings: Theme, volume, and other customizations
• Play History: Recently played stations (for quick access)
• Sleep Timer Settings: Your preferred timer durations
• Wake-Up Alarm: Your alarm time and repeat day preferences

This data is stored using iOS's built-in UserDefaults system.

iCloud Sync

To provide a seamless experience across your Apple devices, Nur Radio uses Apple's iCloud to sync:

• Your favorite stations
• Your custom playlists
• Your listening history

This sync is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). The data is encrypted by Apple and synced according to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this data on any of our servers.

Apple Watch

If you use the Nur Radio Apple Watch companion app, your favorites and current playback state are shared between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This data stays within your personal devices and is not transmitted to any external servers.

Network Connections

Nur Radio connects to the internet solely to stream radio content:

• Radio Streams: We connect to mp3quran.net to fetch the list of available radio stations and stream audio content
• HTTPS Only: All network connections use secure HTTPS encryption

Important: We do not transmit any personal data, device identifiers, or usage statistics to any server.

What We DON'T Collect

To be completely transparent, we do NOT collect:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Device identifiers (UDID, IDFA, advertising ID)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or listening statistics
• Crash reports or diagnostics
• IP addresses
• Any data for advertising purposes

Third-Party Services

Nur Radio uses minimal third-party services:

Radio Content Provider

We use mp3quran.net as our source for Quran radio streams. When you listen to a station, you connect directly to their streaming servers. Please refer to their privacy policy for information about their data practices.

No Analytics or Tracking Services

We do NOT use:

• Google Analytics
• Firebase
• Facebook SDK
• Any advertising networks
• Any crash reporting services

Children's Privacy

Nur Radio is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.

• No data collection of any kind
• No social features or communication
• No ads or in-app purchases
• Educational and spiritual content only

The app fully complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) requirements.

Your Data Control

Delete Your Data

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Delete the app: Uninstalling Nur Radio removes all stored data
• Reset in-app: Clear favorites and settings from within the app

There is no data on any server to delete because we never collect it.

Apple App Store Privacy Labels

In Apple's App Privacy section, Nur Radio declares:

• Data Used to Track You: None
• Data Linked to You: None
• Data Not Linked to You: None

We are committed to complete transparency about our privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will:

• Update this policy with a new "Last Updated" date
• Notify users through an app update

Our Promise: We will never start collecting personal data without explicit user consent and clear notification.
